Boundaries, girl
Hey, love! Welcome to a new Lotus Letter.
Boundaries are a big topic here, and today’s issue happens to share the same title as the first section of our Positive Practices guided journal! Boundaries are the best way to protect your peace, energy, and well-being. Let’s get into it.
Choosing yourself, with love
Boundaries look like...
Boundaries are the limits we set to protect our time, energy, money, and other resources.
When we set boundaries, we honor our needs, practice self-compassion, and portray self-respect.
There’s a beauty to sacrificing your needs for the sake of people you love, but constantly putting yourself last isn’t sacrifice— it’s self-neglect.
Boundaries sound like...
“I hear where you’re coming from. I still need to honor my boundary.”
“I appreciate you caring, however I’m not looking for advice/solutions right now.”
“That will be too tight for my schedule. How’s Friday instead?”
“My plate is completely full right now. I don’t have space for a new project/responsibility.”
